The St. Paul Freifechter is a Membership-based non-profit. By becoming a member you not only get some cool discounts, but you become part of the community that is shaping both the present and the future of Historical Martial Arts in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Just as our classes and study groups strive to ensure that every participant is valued, so too do we do with our membership. If you have an idea for something new, or how we might be able to improve something, you can guarantee your voice will be heard and your ideas not disappearing into the limbo of some unread suggestion box….
There are 2 types of annual memberships currently available:
-
- The Full Membership has full rights and benefits. It’s intended for ages 18+ and who are not full-time students.
- The Student Membership is designed for ages 16-18 and/or who are full-time students. It has all the same rights and benefits as a Full Member does with the exception of being able to hold an Officer/Board position. The reasons behind this is twofold:
- If the person is under 18, they are not legally able to represent the organization
- We want people to focus on their education and not deal with the added stress and workload of running a non-profit at the same time.
Rights and Benefits for all members:
-
- The ability to vote on and provide input for items of import to the St. Paul Freifechter, such as Officer/Board of Director elections, class and event planning, special projects, etc
- Member-only pricing and/or early registration for selected classes, workshops, and events.
- Special discounts for selected vendors and partners:
- Arms and Armour
- Rose Tower Singlestick Bells
- Ox and Plow
- HEMA Bookshelf
- Francis Burger Joint
Additional Rights and Benefits for Full Members:
-
- The ability to run for election to one of the 3 Officer positions (President, Secretary, or Treasurer) which runs the business on a day to day basis.
Oh, and did I forget to mention that when you join, regardless of membership type, you also get one of these cool patches for your jacket…?
